Despite growing up in the cozy town of Madoc and both attending the same high school, we never really crossed paths until late 2019. Fate had a modern twist in store for us; in the age of swipes and likes, our digital worlds collided. A few casual messages turned into late-night chats filled with laughter and a connection neither of us could resist.

I knew Douglas would be an amazing father one day, as he opened his heart to loving my son Nolan, as if he was his own. The next few years were spent with countless weekends at the cabin, really getting to know one another and ultimately falling in love.

And then, as if life couldn't get any sweeter, along came our greatest adventure yet; twin boys Evan and Holden who brought new meaning to our lives and filled our home with laughter and chaos.
